Message from the Obon Chairperson
Guadalupe Buddhist Church, we had another successful Obon Festival! The community came out to
support us, and the love of GBC was definitely in the air. Thank you all for your hard work, long
hours and dedication. Your ability to roll with the numerous changes, and inclusion of family and
friends from near and far, has all made the event one that people plan their vacations and reunions
around.
Please send me your thoughts on what went right and what we can improve on for the future, and let’s
plan to go over the event after Shotsuki service on August 18, 2024.
I look forward to working with you all on our next Obon, scheduled for July 27, 2025!
